Who are we?


The Trevi-group is a 100% privately owned Belgian company, experts in the design & construction of any environmental solutions, such as wastewater treatment plants (Trevi NV www.trevi-env.com ), odour control technology (Ipec NV www.ipec.be ) and many more. VSI (Valvan Soenen India), part of the Belgian Valtech Group and partially owned by the same shareholders as Trevi-group, is currently developing his premises in Khopoli (Maharashtra State). Trevi-group wants to develop his activities in India in Mumbai and at this location in Khopoli, relying on the practical support of VSI. Your office will be located in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.
You will work directly with the Belgian Trevi-team dedicated to export and sales of wastewater systems and odour control technology.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the sales for TREVI NV and IPEC NV in the country
  • Introducing the company and its products to the different stakeholders such as contractors who are the direct customers, the consultants who will review the equipment on its suitability and the end-clients who are mainly official bodies and industries.
  • Defining potential clients (contractors, industrial companies).
  • Collecting correct technical information to make a suitable submittal (technical and commercial), which will be prepared in Belgium.
  • Presenting the technical and commercial submittal to the stakeholders.
  • Financial negotiation.
  • Ensure correct and clear communication on all aspects of the project execution.
  • Assisting in the purchase procedure of locally purchased equipment.
  • Assisting during installation: you are first-in-line person for questions coming from the site. You will channel questions and responses with the Belgian team by defining the site requirements, setting up conference calls, collecting and transferring the correct information.

Who are we looking for?

  • Engineering Bachelor‘s degree in process, chemistry or environmental science.
  • 10 years of experience in sales for engineered equipment.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the country and occasionally abroad.
  • Car and driver’s license.
  • Excellent level of English and local languages.
  • Desired personal skills and experience:
  • Pro-active approach is required to organize and build the start-up hub in India
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to derive the correct information from customers
  • Eager to learn on the product and from the colleagues to become technically knowledgeable
  • Honest and straight forward communication is a must towards clients and colleagues
  • Deadline-driven
  • Hands-on combination of sales and technical support
  • Flexible to overcome time differences with main office in Belgium.
  • Proficient office (word, excel,..) skills are a must
